Mission Interpretation
Town Hall Meetings In order to improve communication and build relationships, the synod held a series of 42 town hall meetings in fall of 2006. The meetings were an open forum; participants were invited to share stories, ask questions, and voice concerns about our ministry together. All the information gathered was compiled into the 2006 Report on Town Hall Meetings.
Due to the success of the first town hall meetings, the synod office held a second series of town hall meetings in fall 2007. More than 750 people attended. The town halls were an excellent venue to thank people for their faithfulness to the church over the years. The meetings also served to communicate how the synod office works to be faithful to the congregations it serves. A brief report was submitted to the synod council. You can download the 2007 Town Hall Report here. Bishop Rimbo's visits to every conference will take the place of town hall meetings in 2008-2009. Thank you for your partnership! |
