"Got Sermon?"

All Day Event

Union Theological Seminary
3041 Broadway
New York, US-NY , 10027

A preaching workshop from Union Theological Seminary

In order to best meet the continuing education needs and busy schedules of those serving—and regularly preaching in—congregational settings, the Alumni/ae Relations Office of Union Theological Seminary will be reintroducing and sponsoring the popular Got Sermon? lectionary study series as a twice yearly, day-long conference corresponding to the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent. Launched in 2008, Got Sermon? was intentionally designed to bring the gifts of Union’s faculty to primarily parish-based preachers seeking inspiration for the homiletical task during the most demanding times of the year.

The lead instructor for the October 27 Advent/Christmas program is Lisa Thompson, Assistant Professor of Homiletics, with Cláudio Carvalhaes, Associate Professor of Worship, preaching and leading opening worship. Workshops will be taught by David M. Carr, Professor of Old Testament, among others.

The cost of the day-long conference is $50, which includes lunch. Pre-registration is required.
