Heart of Ministry Award of Distinction 2011

On May 13 at the Synod Assembly, the 2011 Heart of Ministry Award of Distinction was presented to Trinity Lutheran Church in Rocky Point. Pastor Bruce Kaifler accepted the award on behalf of Trinity. He was joined by other members of the congregation. Trinity was recognized for having a “culture of youth ministry” cultivated in their congregation.

The Heart of Ministry Award of Distinction has been awarded each year since 2007 by the Child Youth & Family Ministry Committee in recognition for outstanding children, youth and family ministries. Nominations can be made by anyone in the Metropolitan New York Synod and are due by the end of February. The award is presented at the Synod Assembly.

Nominations for the 2013 Heart of Ministry award will be accepted in the fall and winter of 2012.
