Mission Statement
Established in 2000, the Commission for Gay and Lesbian People will:

• encourage our synod and its congregations to welcome all persons, regardless of sexual orientation, into the full life of the church;
• assist in outreach and education programs;
• support congregations interested in learning about the "Reconciling in Christ" program; and
• work with the synod staff and committees to be models of inclusiveness.
