Global Mission Committee
Global issues are so immense that sometimes it can be overwhelming to know what to do to help. The Global Mission Committee focuses on our relationship with people in other parts of the world, especially those in our companion synods. Here is where representatives from the synod’s hunger and companion synod committees share their updates and find ways to help each other.
The overall goal is to promote global awareness and action together. This committee tells how issues of hunger, diseases such as malaria and HIV/AIDS, and natural disasters are interrelated. For example, as a person with HIV is treated and begins to recover, he/she needs more food. But in a developing country such as Tanzania, food can be a major problem to find. How can we help with that?
