Director for Finance, Administration and Grant Management
Position scope: Responsible for all MNYS finance and accounting functions
Competencies:
- Proven experience as Director of Finance or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
- An analytical mind
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is a plus
- CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing financial statements, annual audits in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Report synod financial status to Executive Committee
- Manage annual budget process
- Manage cash flow and forecasting
- Supervise AP staff
- Handle general accounting requirements, including journal entries, schedules, bank reconciliation
- Process semi-monthly payroll including new staff paperwork
- Responsible for grant management
- Attend weekly, monthly meetings as needed
- Work closely with COO to set up policies and procedures and internal controls
