PLEASE CHECK WITH HOSTING CONGREGATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS AS TO WHETHER EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELED OR POSTPONED DUE TO THE COVID-19 CRISIS.
During this service, oils for use in several expressions of pastoral care are presented and blessed. The liturgy begins with Rites for Confession and Individual Absolution as well as Affirmation of Baptismal Vocation for all God's people, for deacons, deaconesses, diaconal ministers, associates in ministry, pastors and our bishop.
A growing number of people in our synod have found this liturgy to be an important part of their spiritual journey in Holy Week, especially as it gives rostered leaders an opportunity to take part in confession and individual absolution, expresses unity in Christ's death and resurrection, and affirms the varied ministries of the body of Christ.
A light lunch of soups and fresh bread will be provided at noon. Please bring cleaned, empty glass vials from last year so they can be reused and refilled.
