For over 25 years, Trinity on the north shore has been ministering to the hungry and needy. We partner with Trinity’s feeding ministry, offering comfort to those less fortunate, and we collect food for the food pantry and soup kitchen at CLC. Volunteer opportunities are available for youth and adults alike!
Need a helping hand? We partner with Project Hospitality on Staten Island, which helps to provide food, shelter, drug and alcohol treatments, emotional/behavioral health, housing, and at-risk youth. For more information www.projecthospitality.org
Koinonia celebrates 60 years of outdoor ministry in 2023. We are one of the member congregations of the Martin Luther Camp Corporation. Camp Koinonia is a church ministry, 1,200 acres of God’s good creation, two hours away from Staten Island. It’s a great place for youth group trips, confirmation retreats, adult meetings, and congregational retreats. www.koinoniany.org
AA meets at CLC Monday evening’s 7:30 pm and on Wednesday and Thursday at 10 am. We host the oldest Alcoholics Anonymous meetings on Staten Island.
Lutheran Disaster Response
Lutheran Disaster Response is accompanying our companions in Ukraine, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic, as well as such ecumenical partners as this Lutheran World Federation and Church World Service, in their humanitarian responses to the crisis created by Russia’s war against Ukraine. www.elca.org/Our-Work/Relief-and-Development/Lutheran-Disaster-Response/
The needs of our neighbors in Turkey are growing every hour. Lutheran World Relief is already working with trusted local partners to reach children, women, and men in desperate need. Your gift to LWF’s emergency fund will deliver support and care. At this time, financial donations are needed to assist our injured, displaced, or hungry neighbors.
How to give: You can give directly through Lutheran World Relief at www.lwr.org/quake
