In a true show of solidarity and community dedication, Unidad y Fe Lutheran Mission in Woodhaven, Queens celebrated Three Kings Day on January 6, 2024, spreading joy to over 100 children in the neighborhood. Rooted in Christian tradition and influenced by Latino culture, the holiday served as a platform to distribute a variety of gifts, from dolls, balls and robots to Legos.
 
The celebration brought together entire families who gathered to celebrate this important date. Unidad y Fe, unwavering in its commitment to the welfare of the community, orchestrated an event brimming with activities suitable for all age groups. Highlights included face painting that brought smiles to the faces of the little ones, a captivating taekwondo demonstration, and the presence of a talented singer who shared songs from The Beatles, infusing the festivities with a musical ambiance.

The sharing of the traditional ¨Rosca de Reyes¨ - a special bread for this occasion - with all the attendees symbolized the unity and conviviality that define this wonderful day. In addition to the festive revelry, Unidad y Fe demonstrated its commitment to the community by disseminating essential information for immigrant residents. Enlightening details were provided about services such as health insurance, asylum processes and other resources available to assist immigrants in their integration process.
 
Pastor Leticia Alanis, head of Unidad y Fe, stated, "Unidad y Fe maintains a strong commitment to our community. Beyond the Three Kings Day celebration, our goal is to serve as a bridge to connect families with resources and services that can improve their quality of life."
