MINISTERS OF WORD & SACRAMENT DIRECTORY
All ordained Pastors rostered in the Metropolitan New York Synod are listed in this directory with the ministries they are serving. Some clergy working in the synod from other denominations are also shown. This directory is updated monthly. MINISTERS OF WORD & SERVICE DIRECTORY
All ordained ELCA Deacons rostered in the Metropolitan New York Synod are listed in this directory with the ministries they are serving. Each ELCA Deacon or Deaconess completes a course of study and receives a degree from an ELCA seminary. They may serve in congregations, hospitals, schools, or other ministries. For a copy of this directory please contact Regina Daniels, indicating your name, position, congregation, and the reason for this request. 

SYNOD DEACON DIRECTORY
Synodical deacons are rostered leaders who complete a course of study in the diakonia program, complete an internship, and are "set apart" at a ceremony in the spring. For a copy of this directory please contact Regina Daniels, indicating your name, position, congregation, and the reason for this request. 

DEANS
Conference deans are pastors who serve as liaisons between the synod office and the congregations in their conference. They convene meetings of the conference pastors and lay leaders semi-annually, make visits to pastors new to their area, and attend meetings at the synod office regularly.

CONFERENCES 
The synod is divided geographically into 17 conferences. Conferences have two meetings each year to discuss local issues and nominate people for synod offices. Each conference has a dean. The conferences are:
