2025 Eastern Nassau Conference Report
The Rev. Micah Stumme, Former Dean
- We have several congregations in the discussion process of future shared ministries
- We have several congregations that are holding joint Confirmation classes during a pastoral vacancy
- We have networked our congregations with Christian preschools to share ideas
- We have had congregations hold joint special services like Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Day, Lenten midweek services, and an Easter Vigil
- We have weekly pericope discussions by Zoom or in-person for available clergy
- We welcomed a new colleague (Pastor Ed Barnett) at St. Luke's in Farmingdale
- Our sister congregation (Good Shepherd Lutheran in Plainview) is moving along in the call process
- Our churches in the Bellmore area continue their joint services and conversations of future shared ministry
- Our sister church (Good Shepherd Lutheran in Levittown) is looking forward to moving into their newly rebuilt church building
