We hope that you and your loved ones are doing well during this difficult time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Seafarers International House has postponed its 20th annual Setting the Course Banquet from April 23, 2020, to Thursday, July 30, 2020

For those of you who were looking forward to the singing of the Mariners Hymn "Eternal Father Strong To Save," here is a YouTube link.

Seafarers need your support now more than ever as they work hard to maintain our supply chains. Many have to remain on duty as their replacements can't fly to the foreign ports to join the ships. We still provide accommodations for the stranded mariners in Manhattan and our port chaplains in New York/New Jersey and Philadelphia still visit them at this critical time. Please consider buying your tickets or tables now, so that we have the funds to continue to serve them.

This major fundraiser supports the Port Mission that serves about 33,000 seafarers each year, mariners who keep our supply chains moving in these uncertain times.

Tickets start at $650 per person. Donations are appreciated.

Seafarers International House will award shipping industry representatives who have helped improve the welfare of seafarers. This year’s recipients are:

Outstanding Friends of Seafarers:

James E. Caponiti, President, American Maritime Congress (AMC)

Eric P. Ebeling, President and CEO, American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier ARC

Steven E. Werse, retired Int’l Secretary-Treasurer, International Organization of Masters, Mates & Pilots (MM&P)

Special Recognition for Service to Seafarers:

Timothy J. Ferrie, President, The Marine Society of the City of New York

All funds raised provide for lodging for seafarers and the salaries of our six chaplains in the ports of Connecticut, New Jersey & New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore. They board ships providing comfort in these challenging times and offer Wi-Fi connectivity, SIM phone cards, magazines, and literature to all regardless of faith or nationality. They also take mariners to the mall or medical facilities, all free of charge.

You may purchase your tickets or tables by emailing him at[email protected] or online by clicking the button below.

If you already bought your tickets and are unable to attend, please contact Henryk to either change your ticket to a fully tax-deductible urgently needed donation (our preference) or to get a refund.
