INSTALLATION OF THE REV. PETER BOEHRINGER
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rocky Point, invite all members to the Service of Installation of The Rev. Dr. Peter Boehringer as Senior Pastor.
The Rev. Kevin O’Hara, Dean of Peconic Conference and pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church will preside. Reception to follow. Clergy are invited to vest and process. The color of the day is red.
Pastor Peter is a native of Connecticut where he grew up. He did his undergraduate studies at Pacific Lutheran University, Upsala College, and the University of Connecticut. Pastor received his Master of Divinity degree from Yale University in 1983, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. The core of his doctoral work centered on the relationship of liturgy to the life of the world, and the possibility of ecumenical baptisms within localized communities. Pastor Peter has served in parishes in Conn., Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. He also serves as the Chair of Board of Trustees of United Lutheran Seminary.
