Featuring Haydn’s Requiem and Thompson’s Seven Last Words of the Unarmed, this All Saints Day concert reflects on death, loss, and the hope for deliverance. The program places the ancient prayers of the Mass for the Dead alongside the final words of seven unarmed Black men, including Eric Garner’s “I can’t breathe,” spoken just streets from Trinity’s doors. Led by chamber orchestra and choir, the evening moves from lament toward light with Thompson’s Alleluia.
