Bishop Foster meets on Zoom with lay leaders on Zoom for an informal, one-hour conversation: touching on congregational best practices, wrestling with theological questions, or simply sharing what's happening on the ground in our communities.
The Metropolitan New York Synod is launching a new initiative designed to deepen connection and conversation across our church: the Lay Leader Lunch Hour. Starting February 19, each Thursday at noon, Bishop Katrina Foster will gather with five lay leaders on Zoom for an informal, one-hour conversation shaped by the questions and interests participants bring with them — whether that’s exploring congregational best practices, wrestling with theological questions, or simply sharing what’s happening on the ground in their communities. Lay leaders are invited to share their availability using this online form by February 6, and five participants will be selected each week through a simple lottery. This new space reflects our synod’s commitment to listening and strengthening the ministry we share together.
Not able to make the first four dates? We’ll be releasing more meeting times next month.
