The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
To mark the closing of congregations, it is customary to gather for a closing service to acknowledge the congregation’s history and give thanksgiving for the years of faithful mission and ministry provided in and through the congregation. We thank God for the decades of service and ministry that Transfiguration and New Hope for All Saints provided in the South Bronx and for their partnership with us in the Metropolitan New York Synod. A closing service is planned for Sunday, April 28 at 3:00 pm at All Saints Lutheran Church, 585 East 163rd Street Bronx, New York. The closing congregations and a local Episcopal ministry have come together to form a new mission development in the South Bronx: Mission Walk: A Lutheran-Episcopal Journey with Mission Developer, the Rev. Gladys Diaz.
Saddened and yet so grateful for the ministry of Transfiguration Bronx and the leadership of Reverend Heidi Neumark; A true pastor who with God, blew the life spirit back into me, so that I might do the same.
