The Metropolitan New York Synod invites you to a Service of Holy Closure for St. Thomas Lutheran Church, a congregation rooted in the Rockland County community since 1896.
Originally incorporated as Evangelical Lutheran St. Paul's Church of Nyack, the congregation relocated to 2 Old Ox Road in Central Nyack and adopted the name St. Thomas in 1956. For 130 years, this community has gathered neighbors for Word and Sacrament, nurtured generations of faith, and borne faithful witness to the Gospel in Rockland County.
We give thanks to God for St. Thomas Lutheran Church, for its 130 years of ministry, and for all who have called this congregation home. Bishop Katrina Foster will preach, and Rev. Rhonda Hoehn of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New City will preside.
