We Are Resilient TOGETHER

The Peconic Conference is very active with monthly clergy meetings and a weekly pericope Bible Study for preaching the lectionary, both of which have continued over Zoom during these pandemic times.

Mutual support and affirmation is encouraged and available. We have shared, and continue to share, our individual problems and solutions to the myriad of complications to providing worship and spreading the Gospel that these days, weeks, months, and years have presented.

With thanks to The Rev. George Dietrich, we have put together special Peconic Conference Worship Services on YouTube, which were also distributed online, of Christmas Lessons and Carols and an Easter Vigil.

God's Word finds a way!  With God's grace and all of the uniquely gifted people in this Eastern Suffolk Peconic Conference of the Metro NY Synod, Christ will continue to proclaimed with worldwide effect.

We Are Hopeful TOGETHER

The Peconic Conference will be reforming a Steering Committee to oversee our continued joint ventures of specific online worship experiences, and to plan some social gatherings and education opportunities that were interrupted over the past years.

God's Work. Our Hands, TOGETHER

Our whole sprawling community of Eastern Suffolk County, as well as the Metropolitan New York Synod, ELCA, and the world, are invited to hear and share the good news of Christ Jesus through individual church and collective conference worship posts on various platforms, which will not abate as we set up in-person gatherings.  Of course, the invitations for the community to come back to church physically for worship and to serve once again will be paramount. The Peconic Conference churches have many Food Pantries, Soup Kitchens, Craft Groups, Senior Programs, Bible Studies, Youth Events, and so forth to involve the communities in which we live.
